Palm Jebel Ali Moves Ahead with Dh750M Infrastructure Contracts

Dubai’s iconic coastal expansion, Palm Jebel Ali, has taken another major step forward with the awarding of three infrastructure contracts worth Dh750 million. Developer Nakheel confirmed that the latest works will focus on essential groundwork and are expected to reach completion by Q4 2026.
Building the Foundation of Dubai’s Next Iconic Destination
The contracts, awarded to DBB Contracting, mark a pivotal milestone in the transformation of Palm Jebel Ali into Dubai’s next signature luxury waterfront community. With previous experience on the island, DBB Contracting is well-positioned to carry out advanced infrastructure development for what is being described as a “new growth corridor” in the Jebel Ali area.
Infrastructure Works in Progress
The awarded scope includes extensive work across Fronds A to G, covering:
- Utility connections for water, power, and telecom
- Excavation and backfilling
- Road and pavement construction
- 11kV power distribution
- Telecommunication network implementation
The project also extends into the Spine District, ensuring backbone infrastructure such as utility mains, connections to fronds, and both primary and secondary roads are in place. Grading for DEWA’s power transmission line is also included, further integrating Palm Jebel Ali into Dubai’s citywide infrastructure.
Palm Jebel Ali: A Vision of Future Coastal Living
This ambitious mega-development spans seven interconnected islands, offering a total of 16 fronds and more than 90 kilometres of beachfront. As Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, stated, “Palm Jebel Ali exemplifies Dubai’s ambition to redefine global waterfront living through an innovative luxury lifestyle mega project.”
The development forms part of Dubai’s broader vision to expand urban living while pushing the boundaries of design, sustainability, and global appeal.
